This is a really good way to get through some minor panic attacks. When I feel myself starting to panic, I find one of the easiest things to do, like wiping the counter off, and distract myself long enough to try and work through it. Sometimes this helps. Not always though, but it helps to try something, and it leaves you not so helpless. Chewing gum is another way I have learned to use while dealing with anxiety.
